NPR featured last year’s Young Authors’ Book Project on Monday, February 14 in “The California Report.” As part of a series about California volunteers, NPR interviewed Mark Krahling, one of our excellent tutors, about his involvement with 826. The piece also spotlights Brian Hibbler and Elizabeth Garcia, two students who worked on the Young Authors’ Book Project. The 2010 Young Author’s Book Project culminated in the release of We the Dreamers, a compilation of essays written around the theme of the American Dream by fifty juniors and seniors at John O’Connell High School in San Francisco.
