We would like to send out a huge thank you to our friends at Desk.com for their generosity and for being general do-gooders. On May 8th, a group of staff came to visit us on Valencia Street bearing a giant check made out to 826 Valencia for $10,910! They also checked out our chapbooks, tried on some eye patches (in good pirate form), and got to see our afterschool tutoring program in action. We’re so honored by Desk.com’s generosity and really, is there any better way to receive a donation than in giant check form?
