The Night Writer Society, a writerly secret society that hosts literary happenings for adults, has begun holding its events at 826 Valencia, and this season’s lineup is exciting. Former McSweeney’s publisher and current creator of astonishing books, Eli Horowitz, will teach with book-binding artist and SF Center for the Book Studio Manager Rhiannon Alpers. High-end perfumer Yosh Han and food/travel writer Alison Bing will teach you how to write with your nose and author Erica Lorraine Scheidt will expose the secrets to writing a young adult novel. Last but not least, write, edit, and workshop with 826 Valencia until the sun sets on the summer solstice. With such a stellar lineup, we strongly encourage you to buy your tickets soon.
Each event in this brand new series is special; you’ll have time to enjoy wine and mingle with other local writers and literary enthusiasts, and more and more secrets of the quirky Night Writer Society will be revealed to you. We’re also pleased that Almanac Beer will be our official beer sponsor for the series, which means that you’ll be able to enjoy a delicious San Francisco beer while you learn about a new craft!
And, as always, all proceeds from these events benefit 826 Valencia.
Visit the Night Writer Society homepage to buy tickets and learn the details of each event in the series. We hope you’ll join us for the fun!
