Working Draft Writers' Club at 826 Valencia

826 friends and family! Are you seeking an alternative to the cafes and coffee shops which serve as our de facto offices and studios? Starting in November, the 826 Valencia Writing Lab will begin hosting Working Draft, a nighttime community writing club open to young-adult and adult poets, fiction-writers, letter-writers, journalers, journalists and everyone in between!

It would already be plenty just having a place to sit down with a computer and work in comfort, but this is also an opportunity to examine our practice as writers. As such, Working Draft will promote an “ink on paper” ethic. With so much of today’s writing almost exclusively word-processed, here's an opportunity to practice a creative process that is invigorated by the simple absence of a delete key.
