Please note: This summer, we’ll be doing some repairs to the roof on our Writing Lab here at 826. To accommodate this construction, we have several possibilities for off-site locations where we can host workshops should the construction go past its projected date. Eastman Open to 10 students, ages 8-11 A one-session workshop Friday, July 12 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM Come learn the basic building blocks of an impressive sentence--active and linking verbs, exact word choice, punctuation, phrasing, figurative language, assonance, alliteration, and revision—and make your sentences grow from the ordinary to the extraordinary.
