- Forever Young?
Young Authors' Book Project at SF International High
(In-Schools Program)
We are thrilled to announce the 2013 Young Authors' Book
Project (YABP). We will be working with Ms. Sadler's classes at San Francisco International High School for all of spring semester as students write, edit, and pull together a publication of personal narratives. The YABP is our most in-depth tutoring experience*, and it's a chance for tutors to really connect with students as they transform into published authors!
*Because the YABP is so rigorous for the student authors, we ask all
interested tutors to commit to at least one session a week for the
entire in-class portion, from January 8-February 14. Ideally,
volunteers will attend Tuesdays and Thursdays to work with the same
student each class. (You can attend the 9:10 session each day or the 12:55 session, or both!)
San Francisco International High School is located in the Mission and the students come from all over the world, with the small student population representing 200 countries worldwide. If you speak Spanish, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Tagolog, Russian, or various other languages, we can likely put your skills to use.
