Do you have trouble sitting through a movie without piping up to add your own witty commentary? Can you quote your favorite TV shows verbatim? Are you a pop culture junkie? An art connoisseur? A theater geek? In this workshop, we’ll explore the field of arts journalism, from reviews and recaps to memes and blogs. Journalism techniques for writing and interviewing will also be addressed, with a special focus on developing a unique personal voice and style. By the end of the workshop, students will work together to write and design their own arts magazine.
