Fifth graders at Cesar Chavez School are finishing the year with a curiosity-driven RESEARCH REPORT/FEATURE ARTICLE. We will guide students through a process of selecting a topic, narrowing into a focused research question that is supported by researched facts and citations from various sources. Student authors must also integrate a personal interpretation of the topic with the "expert" evidence they have gathered. In composing their article, student authors will be developing a thesis in relation to their research question, and supporting that thesis throughout the essay with factual evidence. Writing with 826 tutors is always an exciting and productive time for our students. We look forward to collaborating with you!
