Writing about the Symphony

Everyone's a music critic: writer Jeff Kaliss will show you how to watch a musical performance, paying attention to more than just the music itself. Then you'll attend a performance of Barbary Coast and Beyond: Music from the Gold Rush to the Panama-Pacific Exposition at San Francisco's Davies Symphony Hall and write a review to be published on the SF Classical Voice website!

This workshop is presented in partnership with SF Classical Voice and tickets provided by the San Francisco Symphony.

Open to 10 students, ages 11 to 16.

Class will meet from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on each day of the workshop except May 10, when the students will visit the symphony, and that performance will begin at 8:00 PM.
