A one-day workshop

Do you love to read comics? Do you wish you could create your own? Well, now you can, with this one-day workshop taught by a fourteen-year-old cartoonist*! First we’ll get to spend time reading some famous comic strips like Peanuts, Garfield, FoxTrot, and more. Then we’ll learn about how to draw comics, create characters, and set up gags. At the end of the workshop, you’ll walk away with your very own comic strip or cartoon – just like the ones in the newspapers, only drawn by YOU!

 *We are delighted to have Emma Capps, a former student at 826 Valencia, back to teach her very own workshop (with support from the 826 Valencia staff) now that she has produced comic strips, books, and cards of her own, not to mention that she’s been  nationally recognized for her art!

Taller de un día

¿Te encanta leer cómics? ¿Deseas poder crear tu propio cómic? ¡Bueno, ahora puedes hacerlo a través de este taller de un día, impartido por una dibujante de catorce anos de edad*! Primero, dedicaremos un tiempo a leer tiras cómicas famosas como Peanuts, Garfield, FoxTrot y más. Luego, aprenderemos sobre cómo se dibujan cómics, cómo se establecen personajes y se crean bromas. ¡Al final del taller, tendrás tu propia tira cómica o dibujo animado - justo como los que publican en el periódico, sólo que hecho por TI!

 *Estamos encantados de tener devuelta a Emma Capps, antigua alumna de 826 Valencia, enseñado su propio taller (con el soporte del equipo de 826 Valencia), ahora que ha producido tiras cómicas, libros y tarjetas por sí misma, sin dejar de mencionar que Emma ha sido reconocida a nivel nacional por su arte.
