Slick: The James Lick Middle School Magazine

Last year, the eighth grade journalists at James Lick Middle School changed the way we think about publications for thirteen-year-olds with their funny, edgy, and powerful magazine Slick. This year, a new group of eighth grade writers is ready to take on the challenge of producing two new issues of Slick, and we'll be there to help them.

This session is with Ms. Jones' girls. Join the young journalists in Ms. Jones's eighth grade peer resources class every Tuesday of October as they brainstorm, interview, report, write, and edit for the fall issue of Slick. We meet in the beautiful 826 Valencia Writers' Room at James Lick, and we encourage you to be there every Tuesday so you can see the publication come to life through the weeks.
