Move over, San Francisco Chronicle--Straight-up News is back.

Straight-up News, the incredible publication produced by and for students at Everett Middle School is now in its eighth year of investigative journalism!

This stellar project has produced stories concerning today's issues such as the travails of preparing for eighth-grade graduation, the issue of graffiti on campus, and the great sneaker debate between fans of Nike Air Force Ones and Converse All-Stars.

Straight-up News includes news, sports, features, and opinion sections that are written, edited, photographed, and illustrated by Everett students working alongside you tutors.

Straight-up News was developed through the Writers' Room at Everett, the 826 Valencia-sponsored center where tutors assist students with writing assignments.
