Playing with Words

(In-Schools Program)

May 11,2011, 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM @ Hillcrest Elementary School
Volunteers are working with students and teachers at Hillcrest Elementary for two weeks, exploring words and turns of phrase with exuberant fourth graders. After lessons in simile, metaphor, personification, and haiku, the students have time to create their own poetry. 826 volunteers help guide students as they discover new ways to use words and literary styles.
